CCCOA’s Spring Health Fair

The CCCOA’s Spring 2015 Health Fair was held at the Arnoldsburg Community Building, on Wednesday, May 13th from 7 to 11 a.m.  It was sponsored by Calhoun County Committee on Aging, in collaboration with W.Va. Bureau of Senior Services, and Minnie Hamilton Health System. The event was facilitated by CCCOA’s Special Project Coordinator, Samantha Cowan.

Blood work was provided by Minnie Hamilton Health System Laboratory for 71 people from 7 to 10 am. Screenings included:  Comprehensive metabolic panel, with CBC and Lipid panel (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL), TSH (thyroid), PSA (prostate), and A1c (3-month glucose).
